About Us

Founded in 1948, The Rockport Boat Club is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to provide sailing instruction for youth of the community at large. Annual summer programs for beginner to advanced sailors are available from late June to mid August for students under age 16 at the club facility located on Rockport Harbor. Private lessons are also offered. Complete program and club information can be found on our website.

For over 30 years, the primary mission of the Rockport Boat Club has been to provide safe, fun and engaging sailing instruction for youth of member families and the community at large. Meet our Sailing Instructors.

We hope that you’ll find that our Summer Sailing Classes suit your child’s needs and that you are able to come share the excitement of spending time on beautiful Rockport Harbor.

Each class meets for three hours either in the morning (8:30 – 11:30) or afternoon (1:00 – 4:00). We are now offering all two-week sessions to accommodate families’ busy summer schedules. We would like to encourage families to consider signing their children up for more than one session since it is the belief of our program that practice and continuity will build a solid sailing foundation as young sailors gain confidence in their basic sailing knowledge and with on the water experience.
