Located at Owls Head Lighthouse, the American Lighthouse Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, founded in 1994. ALF and its chapters have stewardship responsibility for 13 of our nation’s lighthouses, 7 here in Maine, and has invested over $3.25 million dollars in lighthouse restoration since that time.
ALF operates a gift shop and interpretive center at its location inside the Keeper's House at Owls Head Light. Volunteers help to facilitate public tours of the lighthouse itself from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. Mailing address: PO Box 565, Rockland, ME 04841
